The Workflow: Human Skill Meets Digital Tools
Our commitment is to showcase the world's beauty through focused, human-driven adjustments:
- Foundation: We use OM Workspace for critical initial adjustments. We manually tune the color, exposure, and brightness to ensure the image accurately reflects our artistic vision. For more advanced edits we use Affinity.
- Artistic Lines: To create our distinctive final products, we may utilize the built-in filters within our software. This is how we generate our signature four distinct lines of art, each offering a unique visual style drawn from the same core image.
Ethics and Privacy
We prioritize the integrity of the scene and the privacy of those within it:
- We manually employ GIMP to blur license plates and obscure faces in our photographs if those elements remain clearly identifiable after our initial edits. While we make a conscious effort to maintain individual privacy, due to the volume of images, we may not capture every instance. Furthermore, these steps may not be enough to completely deidentify people or vehicles in the images.
Our Stance on Artificial Intelligence
We maintain a transparent stance regarding the use of AI in our creative process:
- No Image Manipulation: We do not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to adjust, improve, or manipulate the photographic quality or content of our photos after they are captured by our cameras. The beauty you see is the result of human composition, technical skill, and focused, intentional editing.
- Communication Efficiency: We do, however, utilize AI responsibly for administrative tasks. We use it to assist with generating image titles and editing text across our website and external communications.
Our process is simple: precision in the field, intention in the edit, and transparency in our ethics.
